Sun. Series: Love Letters - A Two-Person Play
Sunday, February 9, 2020
On February 9th at 2pm, we proudly bring the two-person play, Love Letters, to life on the Thornton Wilder stage featuring two of our very own local celebrities, Lois Jason and Albert Glassman. Love Letters is s a play by A. R. Gurney and centers on characters, Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III. Using the epistolary form of communication sometimes found in novels, they sit side by side at tables and read the notes, letters and cards – in which over nearly 50 years, they discuss the hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, victories and defeats – that have passed between them throughout their separated lives. This show is a testament to how close people can remain through love.
All shows take place at the handicapped accessible Thornton Wilder Hall in the Miller Cultural Complex, 2901 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, 06518. All shows start at 2 pm. Tickets are $5 for Seniors/Students under 12, $7 general, available at the door only and cash only. Doors open at 1:30pm
