Hamden Launches New Town Website

with Focus on Public Information, Transparency and Ease of Use

Hamden – Mayor Curt Balzano Leng is very pleased to announce that the Town of Hamden has launched a new municipal website. The new is now live for public use!

The new website, developed by CivicPlus, Inc., brings to Hamden a host of new features and engagement opportunities, including sub-sites for the Hamden Fire Department and Hamden Arts & Culture Department. The new website provides a greatly expanded platform for community news and announcements, emergency and non-emergency alert notifications, online payments for permits and events, newsletter and press release signups, and a robust calendar system for Town events, meetings, and programs. Also available is the resource and cultural directory, permit and licensing resource center, staff directories, department blogs, embedded videos, pictures, photo galleries, and more! Certain features are still under development and will be announced once completed.

Commenting, Mayor Curt Balzano Leng said, “I am very excited to announce to our residents that the new is now live! Enhancing our residents’ ability to access information about Town meetings and events, and improving transparency, has been a major goal of my administration. The Town has made a substantial effort to improve navigation and accessibility, and I know that the completion of this project will help get us closer to those objectives.”

The Mayor continued, “I would like to thank project lead, Deputy Chief of Staff, Patrick Donnelly, and assistant lead, Hamden’s new Arts & Marketing Manager, Alisha Martindale, for their outstanding effort in developing this new website and preparing it for launch in less than 6 months. I’d also like to thank our Department Heads for their cooperation, and our vendor, CivicPlus, Inc., for their excellent work. I trust will be a new tool for residents to use and be informed about their government, and our many community activities.”
