Three Million Dollar Face Lift to the Hamden Mart Underway
The popular shopping center, The Hamden Mart, is under going renovations. This will bring a new façade to all of its store fronts. These renovations are being financed by Kimco Realty Corporation who is the largest owner and operator of neighborhood shopping centers in the country. They have owned interests in nearly 2,000 properties, comprising 183 million square feet of leasable space across 45 states, Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico and Chile.
The company has just released the following statement in regards to this important investment:
The Hamden Mart has been owned and managed by Kimco for nearly half of a century and is one of the original assets in our portfolio. We have been believers and sponsors of the community for the past 48 years and are continuing our commitment to the marketplace with the announcement of a multi million dollar renovation. We are very excited about the project and believe that our investment will continue to bring quality shopping and retailers to the Hamden community.

The investment of this project is $3+ million and is planned to be finished by early October.
