Legal Grounds Coffee Shop Opens on Whitney Avenue
Hamden has a new neighborhood Coffee Shop recently opened by Teresa Fields and Kirsten Mendillo, two local attorneys. On December 19th, Mayor Craig Henrici and the Hamden Chamber of Commerce helped to celebrate the grand opening. "I am very pleased to attend a grand opening for another new small business in Hamden. It shows the hard work done by the Hamden Chamber and our Office and Economic and Community Development", stated Mayor Henrici.

Legal Grounds Coffee Shop is serving organic, fair-trade coffees and Harvey and Sons teas, along with a variety of fresh pastries and muffins, quiche, New York Bagels, delicious hot soups from Hale and Hearty and many other tasty items. There are also gift baskets for the coffee lovers in your life.
Legal Grounds utilized the small business micro-loan offered by the Office and Economic and Community Development for the fit out of the new coffee shop. Additionally, Legal Grounds utilized the free services offered by the Town's Business Assistance Center (BAC). The BAC provides technical assistance with business planning and cash flow analysis as well as other important elements of owning and operating a small business.
