Nora’s and Ryan’s Irish Tea Room
On January 9, 2004 the doors of Nora & Ryan’s Irish Tea Room, 1652 Whitney Avenue, Dale Kroop Director of Economic and Community Development from the Town of Hamden welcomed the neighborhood in or rather the neighborhood welcomed the Tea Room. Without my two guardian angels this would have never come together the way it has. In loving memory of my grandmother Nora McHale who was the perfect lady and my brother-in-law Ryan Whelan who was a remarkable young man (both of them are dearly missed), but I know in my heart they are both here with me.
Nora & Ryan’s has a very peaceful and soothing atmosphere to it. Come relax and enjoy the music and of course a pot of tea, coffee or hot chocolate along with assorted baked goods provided by the Emerald Bakery in Milford. The hours of the Tea Room are Tuesday through Friday 7:30am to 4pm, Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 8am to 2pm.
