Detailed plans and specifications for new structures and additions, renovations, or alterations to existing structures shall be submitted by the applicant to the local Fire Marshal having jurisdiction to demonstrate compliance with section 29-263 of the Connecticut General Statutes.
There are also review fees, which are to be paid at the time of submittal.
The Fire Marshal's office is located in the lower level of the Hamden Government Center.
No building permit will be issued without the sign off from the Fire Marshal.
Visit Viewpoint Online Permitting to file permit applications for Plan Reviews, Operating Permits, and Record Requests through the "Viewpoint Online Permitting" system.
To receive physical copies of permit applications, please visit the Hamden Fire Marshall's Office.
