The Hamden Art League provides an organization for artists, art students, and art patrons for the growth of artistic potential through demonstrations, instruction, and individual and group exhibitions.
Benefits in the Hamden Art League include opportunities to show your work in the annual Spring Goldenbells Exhibition, the Winter Silverbells Exhibition, and additional shows that occur in our area throughout the year.
Members can also participate in a formal critique of their work, receive a regular newsletter that informs them of a variety of art activities and upcoming art exhibitions in the area.
The Hamden Art League encourages our artists to participate in local art classes and workshops as well as provides a year-long program of art technique demonstrations and lectures by well-known artists at our general meetings.
Meetings occur on the second Tuesday of the month at the Hamden Miller Library Social Room. The meetings are preceded by brief “get-acquainted” receptions. Refreshments at 7:15 pm, followed by a brief business meeting at 7:20 and artist’s demo from 7:30 to 8:30 pm.
