Hamden Announces Parking Ban and Transfer Station Closure due to Inclement Weather

Hamden – Mayor Lauren Garrett and Acting Public Works Director Matthew Kott have issued a parking ban for the Town of Hamden, effective Sunday, January 16th, 2022 at 7:00PM until further notice. This ban is being declared pursuant to Section 71.03 of the Code of the Town of Hamden. The parking ban prohibits any person to park, or allow to remain parked, any vehicle on any odd numbered portion of a town street or highway.

The Hamden Police Department is authorized, pursuant to Section 71.07 of the Code of the Town of Hamden, to remove any vehicle parked in violation of this ordinance. Such removal shall be at the risk and expense of the owner of the vehicle.
