Hamden’s First Ever Youth Rap Concert
Thursday, July 13th

Hamden – The Hamden Youth Services Bureau and the Teen Rap Concert Planning Committee would like to invite area high school age youth to Sounds of Summer, Hamden’s first youth rap concert!

Sounds of Summer is intended to offer youth a safe space and platform to enjoy the sounds of local artists, while making positive choices in a community-based environment.

The first ever youth rap concert will take place Thursday, July 13th 2023 from 6PM to 9PM at Thornton Wilder Auditorium, 2901 Dixwell Avenue in Hamden. Tickets are $10.00, cash only, pay at the door.

Local youth rap artists performing include LG3 & Jaydoof, SNL_Breacho, and 119Lexx. DJ Platinum, from 94.3 WYBC will be spinning tunes. Photographer Jordan Cunningham will be taking photos throughout the evening.

This concert is a collaboration of many partners, including the Teen Rap Concert Planning Committee, Hamden Youth Services Bureau, Hamden Police Department, Hamden Fire Department, Hamden Public Works Department, We Are The Village Inc., Orchid Hospitality & Events, 94.3 WYBC, CT VIP, and the Town of Hamden.

We are looking forward to a fun, entertaining night, with hopefully many more to come!
