BOARD OF ASSESSMENT APPEALS
The Hamden Board of Assessment Appeals (BAA) will conduct meetings in April and September 2020. Appeals will be heard in April for the assessments on the 2019 Grand List for Real Estate, Personal Property and for Motor Vehicles on the 2019 Grand List and the 2018 Motor Vehicle Supplemental List.
Please Note: The real estate appeals to be heard in April 2020 are to be based upon the 2015 Grand List revaluation values.
Anyone wishing to appeal the assessment of their property for the April hearings must file an application between March 3, 2020 and March 20, 2020. Please note that emailed and faxed applications are NOT acceptable. All applications and supporting documents must be received in the assessor’s office no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2020.
Applications for April hearings will be available March 3, 2020 through the Hamden Assessor’s Office online at hamden.com/assessor. Anyone who files a timely and complete application will receive written confirmation of their April appointment by March 25, 2020.
